Mass Communication as a media institution. There are different divisions in Mass Communication such as print, film, radio, television, advertising and public relations. The said divisions establish huge and known organizations. Although I disagree that these organizations are wildly successful. Mass communication is a field of study since the 1950’s and it has evolved ever since. During 1950’s, in studying mass communication you have to know its basic education, empirical research of mass communication processes and effects, and critical and cultural studies of the mass media. One example of academic approach in mass communication is to research about it. Content, audience, and effects of the media are its main focus.
