Foremost the biggest difference between these two civilizations is a chronological one. India has had an established civilization since 1700 BCE in the Indus river valley (@). Whereas development in central America did not arrive until much later starting around 200 CE. Due to their much longer history the culture and values of the Indian society have been subject to much transformation throughout time. The Mayan civilization in comparison was relatively short in its lifespan only lasting until around 900 CE (@).
Both of these civilizations share a tropical climate, rich with rainforests and abundant resources.
