DNA Isolation is the development of purification of DNA from a sampling applying a mixture of physical and chemical methods. Isolation is a routine process in molecular biology or in molecular analyses.
Materials:
• Electrophoresis chamber
• Gel casting trays
• Sample combs
• Ethidium bromide
• Loading buffer
• Electrophoresis buffer
• Transilluminator

• Cotton swabs
• Distilled water
• Tablespoon of salt
• Soap
• Isopropanol
• Dye, salt water
• Agarose gel
Procedure:
Obtain 250mL of distilled water and add ½ tablespoon of salt. Dissolve the solution completely; transfer 1 ½ tablespoons into a cup. Then gargle the solution inside of your mouth for one minute. After you do that you have to spit the solution back into the cup and stir gently and add one drop of soap. Next we had to obtain a new cup and add 50mL of 70% isopropanol and 3 drops of dye and we gently poured the solution slowly into the salt water solution to form a thin layer. We sat the room temperature for 2.5 minutes we started to see a cloud film develop into the layers of solution. (THIS IS YOUR DNA).
