Dr. Daniel Siegel states multiple definitions of what the mind is and its functions. The mind is like space or like sky which is completely clear, not solid. It is unlimited and spacious. It operates like the respiration system through similar characteristics. First, the minds information processing system consists of a stimulus which is inputted into the mind. This stimulus can be attained visually or auditory. Next, this information is processed which creates perception and sensory registration. Then, the information is stored into the mind and is elaborated and manipulated. Lastly, the information is processed out and a physical response is created. At times we do have control over what enters our mind and what does not such as, good and bad images.
