According to environment issues the automobiles have develop from steam powered at the beginning to electric cars today.
The benefits of electric cars is widely known, that is, no gas emission but the low speed got make them no too practical, thus the use are increasing at a very slow rate, besides the prices are still moderate high. Also there are hybrid cars which overcome the barrier because of low speed. This kind of car uses two different power sources to move the car which combine an internal combustion motor and electric motors. The hybrid technology has spread all over the word and different kinds of vehicles are made of such us busses, ships and military vehicles. Regarding to customer exigency new technology has been developed and now we can see within a car, front and rear view cameras, internet connection, air bags, seat warmers, and so on.

The energy used emit big amount of gases like CO2 and NOX which foster the acid rain.
Painting/coating/plating. High quantity of pollutant and toxic gases emitted has forced to manufacturers change from organic- based to water- based paints.
Machining. The big amount of waste for this process is managed by recycling Joining. Welding is the predominant joining process with gas emission. NIOSH has set some requirements for these processes in terms of the welfare of the workers. Plastics processing. Besides of the vapors emitted, contaminated water is expelled from this process. This guideline states that manufacturer should avoid the use of toxic or hazardous materials and processes and some international organizations help the companies to accomplish this requirement (ISO 14001, ISO 18001, OSHAS, NIOSH) Use issues It is related to the emissions of CO2, NOX and SOX because of oil burning. United States as well as other countries are concerned in lowering the oil consumption by increasing the fuel efficiency. There are some standards that limit the quantity of these emissions. In the US the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) the Clean Air Act Amendments (CAAA) set the regulations for the emissions. Other countries have correspondent regulations and government forces the owner of cars to pass inspections within a fixed period of time to verify the emissions. Post-use issue This process is related dismantling and recycling the cars. When the life
