B. The Main idea of this article was to provide information to the public about video game myths. However this article explains that there are not as many harmful effects of video games as a majority of the population thinks.
As an audience member I would consider myself to be neutral. The author is trying to reach a resistant audience the article is full of eight myths that prove popular ideas to be false. B. The main idea of this second article was to make people aware that the internet although helpful can be dangerous to peoples mind's.
C. My thoughts to this article are sympathetic. I believe the author of this article would like to target anyone who reads it. However some parts of the article make one think he is trying to target a resistant audience. In the article Carr writes, “Although the world wide web has been around for just 20 years, it is hard to imagine life without it,” (Carr par. 1).
D. The author uses an ethos approach to explain his ideas to the audience. Through out he successfully uses ethos by including background knowledge but also a personal anecdote. For example Carr writes, “I was inspired to the book after I realised that I was losing my own capacity for concentration and contemplation,” (Carr par. 3).
E. Yes, the argument was persuasive. The idea that of internet addiction is terrifyingly real.
Everywhere one look one is able to see that a majority of peoples lives revolves around the internet.
The article is very short but brilliant it uses every word to help propel itself forward I would not change anything about
