ABSTRACT
This article will discuss the biological crises the Earth faced since the creation of the living organisms. Then, this article will argue the reasons why human beings generated a 6th biological crisis. Finally, this article will explain what the elements of this 6th biological crisis are.

The Devonian mass extinction suggesting that warm water marine species were the most severely affected. It was also argue that the extinction of the Devonian was triggered by another glaciation event.
The third biological crisis was the Permian-Triassic extinction which took place 251 million years ago and which was the worst mass extinction of the Earth. Scientists argue that 95% of all species, containing 84% of marine genera, 53% of marine families, and around 70% of land species as plants and animals disappeared during this biological crisis. Direct evidence for this period has not been found but many scientists believe a comet or asteroid impact led to this extinction.
The fourth biological crisis was the end Triassic extinction, and occurred roughly 199 million to 214 million years ago. This biological crisis was most likely caused by massive floods of lava erupting from the central Atlantic magmatic province. The volcanism activities may have led to a huge global warming which generated the death of lots of living organisms. Scientists have found that 22% of marine families, 52% of marine genera, and an unknown percentage of vertebrate deaths were the …show more content…
Extinction of one species result of a new place for another to fill the niche left by the extinct species.
WHY HUMAN BEINGS GENERATED A 6th BIOLOGICAL CRISIS?
Human beings, since the beginning of the industrial era, have showed a huge growth of their population and of their activities. The industrialization period showed an improvement of the human’s standard of living on Earth. With access to new technologies and innovation of the production of food and energy, human beings gain access to much better conditions of life as health, education, and comfort of living. Figure 2: Industrial Revolution showed a huge improvement of the human standard of living. Malthusian Trap suggested that for most of human history, income was largely stagnant because technological advances and discoveries were not enough to increase the welfare and the standard of living of people.
This industrial era generated a significant growth of human beings population: In the 20th century, human population increased from 1.5 billion people to 6.1 billion people. Today human population is about 7.1 billion
