Overview-
The encopresis occurs when the child resists the bowel movements, resulting in a compact collection of stool in the colon and rectum. This generally causes then loose stools in places unsuitable. Encopresis usually occurs after the age of 4, when the child has already learned to use the toilet. In most cases, encopresis is a symptom of chronic constipation. Less frequently, it may be the result of developmental problems or emotional. The encopresis can be frustrating and embarrassing for the child. However, with patience, the treatment for encopresis is usually successful.

Early diagnosis of the problem is critical to prevent the psychological component of the disorder is rooted too deeply in the child. To get a diagnosis is necessary to evaluate both aspects of the disorder. From the physical side it will perform a full examination which may be accompanied by an abdominal X-ray. Treatment-
The first step in the treatment is focused on clearing the colon. After that, the treatment includes the encouragement of healthy bowel movements. This includes the baby training to go to the bathroom whenever they feel the urge.
There are several methods to relieve constipation. Your child's doctor will probably recommended one or more of the following:
