This room opened in the piazza and had roses all over the window, and such pretty old-fashion chintz hangings as she described. The wife describes this room her husband, John insists on her staying in is big and airy, the whole floor nearly, the windows that look like ways, and air and sunshine galore. She also describes the room as a being a nursery at first and then a playroom and gymnasium. The windows are barred for little children, and there are rings and things in the walls. There were times when she made journals to use her creative mind she also made attempts to leave the room.
