Epidermolysis Bullosa is an illness that causes the skin to be fragile, and it is really hard to cure. There is no actual cure for this type of disease, but there are very limited ways to try to make people live through this disease. This disease shows up at an early age and or becomes worst as they get older. Not many people especially younger ones survive from disease. The symptoms of this illness are very hard to ignore and are very painful as well. In younger babies, the symptoms are a little bit different, they usually start with having difficulty breathing and swallowing. This disease is so rare that they have not found a cure for it. It’s so devastating that if the person survives with this disease, they live in a really hard condition.

The symptoms of this disease are so important to mention, since the amount of pain individuals diagnose with EB, suffer every minute of their lives. Even walking gets harder for older people since blisters are formed on the bottom of their feet. "Because the causal mechanisms are now understood, we can focus on the patient's pain situation and on administering more efficient pain therapies," (Helmholtz, 2011). To me finding a cure for his disease is so important, the pain that individuals diagnose with EB cannot be imagen by anyone who is not suffering their pain. For young children who suffer this condition is ten times worse than the older ones since they can’t really express with words what hurt and what doesn’t. It’s really devastating and I can only hope that someday, hopefully very soon they can find a cure for this disease that is awfully
