There was once a life changing experience that I went through and became a part of me, that I’ll take with me forever. In fifth grade summer vacation going onto sixth, my mom and I took a flight to Venezuela the country which my father lives. My mom and dad separated when she was months pregnant with me, and he moved back to Venezuela soon after. This trip was mainly for me to meet and get to know my father’s side of the family; as well as leave the country for the first time. We stayed in a hotel for a few nights but then my dad took my mom and I to a cabin-like stay at the top of a large mountain.. Living in Florida I had never seen or experienced something so great. Driving up the spiraling top of mountain we had to honk as we were turning incase anyone was coming down. It took a long time then reaching the top it started to get dark so we just set everything up to sleep, there was a fireplace and a tv that only played VCR tapes the home was made out of gray rocks it was different but still wonderfully beautiful. The next morning we were woken up by an actual rooster.. I woke up in disbelief that; that was actually happening. We get ready and I take a shower and the shower head dropped the most refreshing natural spring water that was an experience just on it’s own. Just when you thought it couldn’t get better, We go to the main building for breakfast the most story-like setting I’d ever witness we were so high on the mountain we were in a cloud! Then we started walking around the area and buying little treats and I spoke spanish but they called things different then the word i knew for them like hot chocolate was not what I intended it to be and it was just chocolate but if you wanted a chocolate bar that would be caramel and it was just a little confusing but tasted great. Also 1$ U.S is 6 Bolivares, So we were balling in this country, and the candy was like 20 cents each so yeah different but great. I spoke more spanish than I ever have here and found that over the weeks we stayed there my fluentness was getting better and faster, They greet and say good bye to each other by saying “Bendiciones” meaning blessings so that was something I
