Many people know how dangerous nuclear weapons are; Bombs that are capable of destroying an entire country that are being developed and modernized for destruction. In Eric Schlosser’s article, Today’s Nuclear Crisis, gives an overview about the world’s nuclear crisis. Unknown to the public, the development of the modernization of nuclear weapons is in full effect. Although the article was seven pages, it was easy to get through. While reading, the amount of information provided proved how dangerous the weapons are, and further convinced me that nuclear weapons should be illegal. Emphasized throughout the paper, the public has forgotten how dangerous these weapons are since the Atomic bombing of Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Therefore, keeping these weapons hidden from the public is not a good idea. Having these weapons of mass destruction hiding in plain site allows society to become comfortable with the idea that there is nothing to worry about. Continuing, Schlosser provides wide range of evidence to portray the dangerousness of the weapons. The amount of countries that possess nuclear weapons is a scary. From Pakistan to France, to Israel, the amount of countries that develop these weapons shows just how dangerous these weapons are.
