Have you ever thought about how every single thing we read, never advises us to make poor decisions or behave in an atrocious manner? In today's society we have common courtesy within us. Where did we learn this common courtesy? We learn these lessons from many different things, one main place we get it from is moral myths, especially Greek myths. In Greek mythology there are many different morals and lessons you can learn, but the most important three that is necessary to society is to be careful for what you desire, listen to elders and doing everything in moderation.
Firstly, elders in our society are commonly know as wise why because they have lived more on this world and they know more about everything. For example Athene and Archane’s story was when Archane didn't listen to the old lady and by not listening to her advice Archane got turned into a spider. The same thing happened to Daedalus and Icarus when Daedalus gave his son specific instructions but instead of listening to his father Icarus lost his life. This lesson appears in two different myths, there is many different myths that have the same moral hence why this is an important lesson. Out of the two myths one of them is called Apollo’s Chariot and in this myth Apollo’s son has wished to show everyone who he is and drives the Chariot and causes destruction. The second myth is called Midas. Midas was a king who wished for anything he touched turned into gold, that soon turned back on him when he lost everything. These two characters in this story have both regretted what they both desired, teaching the moral of being careful for what you
