Although it is true that college tuition does in fact cost a pretty penny, in the end, it will have been well worth it. A common misconception against colleges is that the cost of classes, materials, room and board, food, etc., outweighs the value of actually going and learning there. However, after finishing college and obtaining a decent job, that ideology would change. According to David Leonhardt, “The Hamilton Project, a research group in Washington….found that college tuition in recent decades has delivered an inflation-adjusted annual return of more than 15 percent.” This means that for the students who’ve devoted thousands of dollars in their education, they’ve gained 15% extra of what they’ve invested in.
