There is no need to pay a college athlete excess money for they already receive enough.
According to the Hamilton project a college scholar with a degree earns an average of $1.19 million over their entire career which is twice that of the average high school graduate. As athletes are given this education freely they should have no need for further payment.

Taking into consideration that the NCAA is a non-profit organization and that all the money the association currently pulls in is donated to the colleges it supports, where would they be getting this money? The NCAA would either have to pull from funding of the entire school just to pay the few athletes or charge higher prices for the public to view their games. Both ways would be a loss to the public.
