What Is Geography And Why Do We Study It?
Geography is the study of physical features of the Earth and it’s atmosphere, and of human activity as it affects and is affected by these, including the distributions of populations and resources, land use, and industries as said by the Oxford Dictionary.
One reason to study geography is because in order to understand why Earth and Sun relationships, water cycles, and wind and ocean services affect our day to day life. Water cycles can affect Earth through changing landscapes or changing other areas of climate. The Sun affects the Earth in multiple different ways, the tides, time zones , and a multitude of other ways.

Ignorance about how the Earth grew and evolved can lead to neglect or carelessness of how we treat the planet we live on which can lead to pollution , misusing resources to the point of certain resources becoming nonrenewable.
It is our job as functioning humans and citizens of the Earth to understand the importance of geography, understanding geography is necessary to understanding the typography and physical boundaries of the planet we live on. To understand the planet that we inhabit and continue to evolve and shape , for students and adults like , it is necessary to learn and understand geography.
To understand different cultures across the planet, we must study not only their physical geography and attributes, but we must also comprehend their religion and traditions which includes studying and comprehending the geography of their country, region, or state. Religion varies and differs across the planet from region to region, similar with dialect. Different states or provinces pronounce different words in a different way, varying from as far as counties. Geography helps people interested in learning about different countries understand the country they are willing to learn about. Even people not interested in studying about or interested in other places on the planet could benefit from studying or learning about other areas of the
