There are various schools of thought that advocate for instances when a woman should be allowed to procure an abortion. Sherri viewed abortion as the solution to the impact that carrying the fetus to full term would have on her studies and nursing career. Some people view the decision to terminate a pregnancy as repulsive especially due to career aspirations (Andrusko 10). In choosing not to undergo the procedure, Sherri weighed the ethical and moral questions in her head and came to the conclusion that raising the baby as a single mother was the best course of action.
