For too many years’ gladiator fights have been considered normal in our roman way of life. Forcing innocent people to die for the pretext of public entertainment is not a practice that should be continued. This inhumane practice doesn’t consider the importance of human life and instead focusses on entertainment that is both free and barbaric.

Becoming a gladiator ruins your social status forever, only done by those wishing to earn money, or fame. However, that is not a reason gladiator battles are acceptable. People should not be forced to fight for their lives in just for the entertainment of a bloodthirsty crowd. It is against all of what people were put on earth to do. Who thinks of how the gladiators feel. Do people ever consider that gladiators might not want to kill each other? Well to find out, we went out and interviewed a famous gladiator you all would have heard of, Camillus Axius Leddicus.
“Being a gladiator is horrible. Killing people for sport is gruesome. The public have no consideration for the gladiators. We are thought of as a puppet, bound to fight until the death. The people who command us don’t care about how we feel. It is known, however, that some gladiators enjoy this awful sport, denying a return to civilization. When one of us is awarded a free life, a chance to become a citizen, most of us take it with both hands. However, there are some gladiators that continue fighting, although they are not forced to like I am. I have to kill people out of the cruelty of the emperor.
