Psychology 201 has been a very intriguing course for me so far. I really enjoyed learning about how the brain works and how big of a role it plays in our lives. Some specific areas of psychology I enjoyed studying were Operant Conditioning, the theories of motivation, and Jean-Dominique Bauby. Operant Conditioning was a familiar concept, even though I was not familiar with the specific terminology. I think reinforcement and punishment are very interesting topics that apply to everyone's lives.…
A new study has been developed in hopes of treating and curing HIV. The main agent is a protein called ZFN that can delete another protein called CCR5. The CCR5 is required for certain types of HIV to enter and infect your T-Cells. T-Cells are white blood cells the body uses to fight HIV, but the most important of these are CD4 T-Cells. HIV is known to infect the CD4+ T-Cells in your blood.…
Wednesday, pgs 105-110: The question was answered to who crucified Jesus and why, but there is one more question that is more spiritual… What was the meaning to all of it? God, of course, could have stopped Jesus from being killed, and so Jesus could have if he proclaimed himself as the Son of God. There is a deeper meaning to Jesus’ Passion and death- he did it for humanity! He died on the suffered and died on the cross so that humanity could be saved from the horrors of death.…
1. How should you handle this situation? This situation should be handled rationally, calmly and ethically. This can be accomplished by following the steps outlined in the book which include finding the benefits to the person who asked the favor and finding who it might prove detrimental to, in addition, one must find another way to go about the request and finally go with what you think your family and friends would want to see if it were on television.…

1) Is current immigration policy seriously treated as a national security issue? How was it treated prior to 9/11? Borders were not controlled very well until recently explains Andreas (2009). People that wanted to cross borders illegally were able to cross easier since it was not a major problem at the time.…

Summary of KINS 470 For most classes, the main portion of the class is lecture, and then there may be a lab attached to go along with what is learned. Exercise Science Lab was different than any other class that I have taken in the exercise science curriculum. The entire class was a lab class itself. The lecture was very minimum, and most of the time spent was conducting tests and collecting data.…
Although writing is not one of my strong suits what I will enjoy most about ENC1102 is completing the course. Completing the course means I am one step closer to getting my AA. I do not have many questions about the class because you explained it thoroughly, however one question I have is will there ever be an opportunity to receive extra credit?…
Over the course of English 102, I have developed a new set of skills and learned to become a better writer. When I first came into English 102 I struggled with many different concepts of writing. During the semester in English 102, my writing became stronger because I learned how to incorporate evidence into my argument, do more thorough research, have smoother transitions, and have more organization throughout my essay. I learned how to peer review better and to take what others say and incorporate it into my essay. In the beginning, before English 102, I struggled with good organization and flow to an essay, sandwich evidence into paragraphs, and having strong arguments in persuasive essays.…
The Dreaded Reading Class It was the first day of third grade. I jumped out of my moms car after kissing her on the cheek and hearing the routine “have a good day”. Jordy, my sister, and I walked in together reminiscing the previous years at Rising Star. Everyone was dressed in their favorite outfit to impress all their friends. Jordy and I fashioned our Limited Too dresses and sparkly back packs.…
You'll be able to do it faster and it will be much more easier than before. You could get more from always working on the things you want to learn. It could be more fun doing more of the things that you already did. You could work on the work more often than before, so you wouldn't have any trouble on it later in your life. The more you know, the better things will be for you to know how life can be from learning more about that one thing that…
One 's thing for sure is that I enjoyed English 102 way more than English 101. I had a terrible experience in English 101 and am still mad about the experience to this day. However, I greatly enjoyed my experience in my English 102 class. I loved almost every aspect of my English 102 class, including my teacher, classmates, and even work that was required. Through English 102, I have learned a lot about writing and can say without a doubt that it has made me into a better writer for many reasons.…
This course has improved my reading, writing and research skills to the point that I now have some skills in the area. Through making me pay close attention to all of the little details that I would normally not notice, my reading skills have improved to allow me to find important information within the text that I would normally not notice. I’ve improved my writing skills by becoming aware of the vocabulary and grammar that I would use within an essay. My research skills have gone from non-existent to knowing something about it.…
My approach to reading has changed over the semester. Before this class, I would just read without taking notes. In reading, I would just read instead of looking up the difficult word or using context clues to figure out what the word means. Now during my reading I annotate and look up unknown vocabulary words. When I look up the difficult word, I would find the closest appropriate definition.…
