• The supervisee must always understand clearly what is expected of them.
• Staff must have guidance within their work and job roles such as information, training, shadowing, advice and suggestions on best practices and personality improvement suggestions.
• Good work always should be recognized and praised as this enhances staff confidence and a better work output.
• Poor work and attitudes such as negativity and constant criticism of the service and colleagues deserves constructive criticism.
• Staff should have opportunities to show that they can accept greater responsibility and work with autonomy without having to be micro managed.
• Staff should be encouraged to improve themselves through accessing training, education and through support.
• Staff should be provided with a safe and healthy environment to work in.
• Ensure that supervision is conducted in a confidential and protected environment where staff can talk openly and cannot be overheard.

With this in mind it is of vital importance that staff are supervised, performances monitored in order to ensure that policies and procedures are being adhered to and followed along with ensuring that the protection of vulnerable individuals are being protected.
