In other words, women are shown as weak and worthless. Other perspectives that are seen in the women in the Ibo culture is that they are used as objects such as for taking care of their children, husbands, and for others duty causes due to when it comes to festivals or reunions with other people in Umuofia such as serving the men with titles in the Ibo culture, but also another way that they are seen in another perspective is by the women being seen as slaves in a way because they are only needed in important occasions or in household chores because the women in the Ibo culture are seen as for being settled for less than what they are really worth for. The women in Umuofia are seen as specialized providers for the men because in the Ibo culture the women in the book such as Ekwefi and Okonkwo 's other wives are always seen and shown in the story as weak characters due to them having no power over any intimate situation or opinion around great men with titles nor with other men in the Ibo
