Liberals believe that men hold the power in society, dominating the influence of laws with women regarded them as objects who could be sexually exploited. Men are known as being more aggressive than women because of their size and demeanor. Women depend on men make them easy to dominate and control them in an environment where they fell that they are needed. Radicals argue that in a response to the way women are dealt with women turn to substance abuse and criminal activity.
The subordination of women is a class oppression maintained because it serves the interest of the ruling class and divides men against women. Influenced by Karl Marx, Marxist feminism focuses on investigating and explaining the ways in which women are oppressed through systems of capitalism and private property. Although I do agree that these theories have contributed to criminal behavior in women, but I am not 100% convinced that they are the real reason. I agree that women have been socially harsh over the years each person, both male and female, are capable of crime and bad behaviors. There are plenty of great women that have not went down the route of crime and violence. I do believe that over the year’s equality in criminal punishment has improved greatly because of those various theories and the change in society. Females in law enforcement and other top officials has equaled out and these women are making the decisions in punishment on both women and men.
