Fitness and goal setting have been the main topic of conversation in this class. Whether we need to work on legs or arms today, or what we are going to do in the future. I learned that it is better to do quantity over quality when it comes to fitness workouts, and that it is always important to stretch and warm up your muscles before a workout to ensure you do not strain any muscles. For goal setting, I learned that if you pick a specific goal that you wish to achieve, like say to reach +10 in the fitness flexibility test, you can keep working towards that goal step by step, or in this case number by number, to reach your goals efficiently. Youth as resources can benefit greatly within a community, because when more roles open for youths, more kids will be able to find a job or club that fits what they enjoy doing, by allowing them to participate, they are expanding their social skills by talking to elders, adults, teens, and kids. Youth programs go along the same lines, as they can find anything that engages their mind and introduces them to other kids who have the same interests. Peaceful conflict resolution is good because diving conflict nonviolently can calm your mind and thoughts, and you can make reasonable decisions instead of rushed, non-thoughtful decisions. Even though it doesn't seem like it, caring can be a key factor for conflict resolution. When you care more, you are more likely to be more assertive, relaxed, and nice towards the other person. Instead, if you are not caring, you are more likely to be aggressive and not care if they get hurt. School engagement can take anger and violence out of your mindset, setting your focus on your education solely. By using Kelso's choice forms of conflict resolution, you can be the “peacekeeper” in the situation to ensure you make the best and rational decision for the conflict. Also, by sharing with friends what you can do in a conflict situation can benefit, because when you talk with anyone, and say something that stands out, it can stick in their brain if something did happen.
