I am so glad that I attend a university that has the national ranked dining system in the whole country.I am not some crazy food lover, nor a picky person on food, but after I came to this strange country far away from my home, I realized that food matters. For the last 10 years, I am always trying to get weight because I am too weak and thin, and eating more foods seems the only way to do so. So I almost eat everything eatable that I got and my parents are always try to cook new foods for me to eat so that I can eat more. Unfortunately, because of my rapid metabolism and some other biological reasons, I just cannot get weight no matter how much I eat. (Lanchester) I was born in China, and my eating habits are formed in China. As a teenage boy, I used to be a fan of American fast foods: McDonald’s, KFC or Pizza Hut, which are also very popular among Chinese children and teenagers. I used to beg my mom and dad to take me to one of those above every weekends, and at that time I love the taste of chicken wings, burgers and fries, etc. Ironically, I am now in America, and I have access to those food everyday, I barely look at them in the dinging hall. It seems that before came to America, I was always want to go to western countries, and live a American-modern-style life. The reason why I always choose Chinese foods and ignore those junk food I used to love, is because maybe I want to back home, and live in a Chinese living style. For the last 18 years of my life, I always want to eat with my families and friends, instead of eating alone. But college life is different, I got far away form my family and everyone in the school has their own schedule, in this way, I have to eat alone sometimes. Surprisingly, eating alone didn 't make me feel lonely, but gave me more chance to observe my surroundings. I like to analyze someone according to what he or she eats. This sounds pretty creepy and nonsense but actually is do make sense. Yes, foods can represent many things.
