The abstract is a wonderful summary of the entire article, which is helpful to readers who want a preview of the topic. The introduction of the article tells about the life cycle of the sarcophagus fly, which is most likely helpful to most readers. The way in which the sections are split up with headings makes it easy to find information and quickly. The materials and methods were actually fairly straightforward and easy to understand, as well as the observations discussed in the “discussion” section. The conclusion emphasizes the main points, but also introduces a new idea that is something the readers can consider after they finish reading. Table 1 was extremely useful and interesting to look at, as well as Table 2. These table definitely added something to the article, instead of taking away from it. I dislike bugs greatly and I could never imagine myself studying them, but I do respect people who can do so. The idea that bugs can be used to determine the time of death was really surprising to me, since I had no idea that forensic scientists even did this. This article was short and fairly easy to understand, which I appreciated greatly. I found Table 1 the most interesting, because it was different to see the types of bodies that were found and studied. Although I would have liked to know a little bit more about the results of this experiment, the idea behind it seemed very well thought out and intelligent. Another thing I found surprising was the fact that temperature can affect the speed at which insects develop. I had no idea that something like temperature or humidity would affect this, so scientists who study bug development in different temperature must be very useful to forensic scientists. Knowing how fast bugs develop at different temperatures can be useful information for many different
