Forensic scientists have may have several roles. Among these are; training others, analyzing evidence and expert testimony.

Several criteria are used to determine if someone is fit to serve as an expert witness. Typically, the courts take into account, the years of experience the person has in their field, any professional organizations the person is a part of, any books or publications that the individual has authored and, the individual’s education degrees.

However, the one that stands out the most to me is because it’s accurate. Because most forensic sciences involve long and tedious processes, there’s less room for error. That’s not to say that errors don’t occur- but it’s far less likely. Also, the fact that technology has evolved so much helps immensely with accuracy of forensic science.
3. Which of the forensic scientist’s responsibilities do you think would be the most challenging? Why?
Honestly, I think they are all challenging in their own ways. However, for me, I think that analyzing evidence would be the most challenging. I think this because, I feel that analyzing evidence would be incredibly nerve-wracking. All it would take to contaminate or mix up evidence, would be one minor mistake or slip-up, and knowing that you can’t go back and fix it, I think would make a person extremely nervous. With this said, however, I believe that all forensic sciences are challenging and it is, by no means an easy field of work to go into.
