Notice that (according to this parable), growth in the natural begins at the seed stage, then it progresses to the blade stage which speaks of a pointed leaf. The blade stage develops into a stalk called the ear until a final stage is reached when the stalk is fully ripe with grain. Thus, in this parable, Jesus was teaching His disciples that the Kingdom of God operates on a seed-plant-harvest principle!
After his fall into sin and disgrace, the Word of God says of Lucifer, “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world; he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him”(Revelations 12:9).

Fallen Lucifer’s measure of the stature of wickedness is progressive. The seed stage or beginning point of Fallen Lucifer’s stature of wickedness is his satanic nature. The name Satan in Hebrew means an opponent, adversary, or resister of the truth. Lucifer was originally created to be the ratifying seal of God’s truth, but when he fell into sin, he chose to oppose it and thus, became God’s archenemy. He opposes the truth with the same standing power he had originally when he stood for it.
The blade stage in Jesus’ parable corresponds to the Fallen Lucifer’s devilish nature. The Greek name for devil is dee-ab-ol-os, meaning a false accuser, slanderer, and traducer. Fallen Lucifer uses this portion of his nature to vilify, defame or tarnish our reputations.
