They have been treated unfairly because of a stereotype or a wrong impression and are demanding liberty. Strong’s version of liberty is forcing “... methods and instruments, his civilization and his religion.” (Foner 674) upon everyone else, or rather Anglo-Saxons are. He believes this path is the one that is going to come out on top and everyone should accept it regardless of what they believe in. Aguinaldo’s liberty is the well-known concept of freedom and independence. Strong’s liberty is the opposite of Aguinaldo’s which is the fallacy of liberty itself despite his intentions whatever they may be.
