Aren’t we entitled to our own opinion? America today is a country of people who get offended way too easily. As stated by Chris Queens of PJmedia, “‘over the last few years we've seen some seismic changes in our nation, and it's tough to know where it began. We used to be a society with an attitude of ‘live and let live’ and ‘agree to disagree’ toward our differences, even when it comes to the most fundamental of disagreements…In 21st century America, we suffer a sort of tyranny of the offended, having to walk on eggshells everywhere we go’’’ (Queens). America is no longer the country with attitude. These seismic changes in today’s youth, especially in college that if someone disagrees with you there is automatically something wrong with them. I agree we do need to be sensitive and considerate of other feelings of course but there’s a difference between sensitive and oversensitive. People don’t need to become offended over things that were probably never meant to be offensive. We also don’t need to get so offended when someone doesn’t agree with our opinion.
