According to the Navigation act, all colonial trade products were classified as enumerate articles, meaning they could only be exported to English colonies. Although this act had been disobeyed frequently it resulted in a new Navigation Act. The Government neglect had been accountable for the absence of enforcement. This act “did not actually create a closed economic circle, where colonies fed raw materials into European industries” (2). It led to smuggling and the act of evading taxes and regulation resulting in a corrupt economy changing the British’s American Colonists viewpoint.
