However, dealing with gender inequality for women in Latin America is most likely going to be problematic. One of the sources brings up the issue of the wage gap. The wage gap is where women are doing the same work as men but receiving less money. This brings up a whole new set of questions arguments. It can however, be related to power. It is said that women are paid less for absolutely no other reason than because they are women and that they have the ability to have children. They rationalize it as why bother paying someone who could leave at any moment? However, this is a major issue in gender inequality in Latin America and poses many problems, one being that it doesn 't consider the merit of that women 's work. The proxies of race, class and power are the main fundamental aspect of these readings. This issue has been problematic and ongoing and although has been getting better, its needs to be resolved. With the discussion of equal rights relating to the status, power, class, economical perspective of women in Latin America, leads to the idea that there is much room for improvement and this can be dealt with. As Saying that Latin America can end this problem as long as the people of Latin America look at it in a way that is without prejudice and discrimination will be a good step in the right direction to evoke change. And to see that it is not only what 's best for people but specifically best for women toward the step to end gender inequality in Latin America. After reading through the articles and books it is clear that this is one of the main social justice issues that is affecting our world today. However, given the current political actions and the morality of the political economy, in regards to the issue of gender inequality they are a long way off to finding a viable solution. It is evident that this addressing this issue and working toward change will improve and eventually begin to shift how people behave and how women are viewed; as time goes on there will be seen an increase
