To begin with, I will start off with both common toys I found in the boys and girls aisle from Walmart. As you can see in Figure 1, 2, 3, 10, 11, & 12, those toys were all the common toys that are on display for our children to look at and desire to obtain. Basically every aisle looked like a classification of gender norm and what that is, is a behavior or attribute that society features to a particular sex. As you see in figure 7, 8, 9, 16, 17, & 18, each of these toys influences the kids towards building a relationship, if it is not with other kids then it is with the toys or object that they are using. When looking at the boy toys in figure 7-9 you see that boys interact more with Lego sets, army play sets, and bikes. These toys teach these kids to interact more by letting boys build the Legos and allowing others to help out, also by playing with the army figures where one kid sets up his army and another kid joins to set up his army and they play it out, and last by letting kids ride their bikes they meet many new kids around their neighborhood and interacting. Of course girls on the contrary are held back and have to stay inside or away from being adventurous because most toys that are displayed for girls are doll sets and make up sets. These toys influence many girls into sharing a bond with other girls, like playing dress up and tea time with each other, they share a girl’s interaction that eventually becomes a sisterhood. To my perspective, I believe that these aisles are created by a lot of sexism, only because it is so unjust how this aisle belongs to girls and this to boys, why can’t society change into accepting everything
