As you can see the message is very clear. The message is that Humankind is fallen. In the beginning with Adam and Eve, they had every thing you could have ever needed. The image of this is a reflection of shalom, which means peace. Shalom-peace is present when God is not hindered by our sins and is able to add significance meaning to our existence. Sin then entered and changed that shalom image of God's. When sin entered it there was a loss of a peaceful relationship with God. It also effected the way they related to creation and each other.
The fourth theme of the Pentateuch is salvation. As the book states this is not just the New Testament doctrine. Through salvation it shows us God's love and grace and the single thread of redemption. You can find his redemption actions in his nature as a loving and compassionate God in John 3:16.
