Imagine the Earth’s air filled with smog and having to inhale that air every day. Many people will have trouble breathing, come down with diseases, and would eventually not have many years to live. Waking up in the morning would not be the same. Earth is not the same it was thousands of years ago. Global warming is defined as the increase of the average temperature on Earth (226). Global warming is a key factor why planet Earth is not the same it was hundreds of years ago. Temperatures are getting higher and lower setting new temperature records. There are numerous amount of research done on these recent, bizarre climate changes caused by global warming, and there is research currently being done. The researcher’s …show more content…
This means temperature keeps rising little by little and is like a ticking time bomb that nobody knows when is going to go off. In movies like An Inconvenient Truth and The Day After Tomorrow are good examples to learn about global warming and or what could happen if climate changes go to an extreme (36). An Inconvenient Truth is a documentary to bring awareness to the people about global warming. The movie talks about statistics and data based on what scientist have found and what they predict the future of the Earth will be in the near future. The movie The Day After Tomorrow is a sci-fi action movie that shows what kind of climate changes could possibly develop from global warming if it keeps increases. In the movie it shows different types of catastrophic weathers happening all around the world. The different types of climate changes that the movie showed were climates changes like: basketball size hail in Japan, a tsunami in New York, and more than one tornado in Los Angeles happening at the same time. But the super storm at ending was the most compelling out of the rest. Anything that the super storm would come in contact with would freeze instantly. This goes to show or imagine the kinds of possibility of these motion picture scenes becoming reality. As more and more time pass Earth …show more content…
Global warming is the cause; climate change is the effect (226). There is a simple plan to stop global warming and it is by reducing the large amounts of carbon dioxide that goes into the atmosphere. This crisis can be solved by reducing the current energy thrust on fossil fuels and shifting to unconventional sources of energy (914). Unconventional sources of energy are plan B it is not well developed to use completely and cost a huge amount of money to start using. Plan A is turning light off when they aren’t in need of, correctly disposing chemicals such as car oil and used house paint as hazardous waste, and avoid wasting large number of gallons of water. It is not of a difficult plan its simple, saves a lot of money in a household and save the use of many sacred
