Throughout the advancement of genetically modified organisms (GMO’s), healthier, cheaper and more plentiful crops are made available to the public. This technology can improve a farmer’s ability to deal with a risky environment. Plants are now able to withstand outside factors like weather and pest, to yield a larger quantity. In addition, with more crops being produced, farmers can market them at lower prices. Over the last twenty years, technology has enabled us to produce higher crop yields without having to use more of our limited resources. Americans have become too involved on the interactions over the internet that we are losing physical social interactions. People can have thousands of social media followers but only have a few quality relationships among them. People are more concerned with the quantity over quality and how much likes we get that it makes us obsessive over it. This lack of social interactions caused by technology has caused many people in our society to become isolated. When an individual is isolated, they lack human contact and are more likely to overeat and exercise less, creating depression in most Americans. By staring at our screens all the time and only interacting online, we are losing key social skills. An increase in technology also means an increase in cyberbullying, lack of privacy and a higher level of deceit. Individuals can be constantly tormented all the time and all the info we believe is safe can be taken and used against us or without our knowledge. Not many people are aware of these dangers and they effect a majority of our population. There are not many regulations on technology and as it advances, the dangers are only going to get
