There are many circumstances that are beyond my control and that can empower me, but these two years of college have thought me to fight for my goals and not lose focus on the big picture. When I graduated high school, my goal was to attend to a four-year university and start working towards my degree plan. I worked hard to attend to a university but the lack of money impeded me to go. I felt disappointed of myself, but as a person who always wants to pursue a higher education, I refused to accept that it was all over. The change starts with me and this is an opportunity that life has given me to prove that I can. I know that my parents did not have a higher education because back then of the circumstances, in their days children had to quit school to help with the house expenses, but things have changed and luckily I am blessed to have supportive parents that help me with anything they can. Unfortunately, sometimes their support is not enough to cover for everything. I will do everything that is in my hands to make my parents proud and to give back to them for every sacrifice that they have done for me. I will fight for my dreams and not stop working until I have reached the finish line, perhaps it will require sweating, no sleep, stress and exhaustion but I know those are only signs of the good fight I have
