a. Precipitation is a limiting factor because there is an abundance of snow that keeps the climate cold and without it, the climate would not be as cold and the organisms would have to adapt b. Temperature is a limiting factor …show more content…
Wind is a limiting factor because as wind wipes through Antarctica, it blows snow and ice throughout the biome so it blows and freezes vegetation around the area and causes blizzards against the organisms in the biome d. Sunlight is a limiting factor in Antarctica because there is no vegetation to shade organisms from the sunlight, but it is so cold in the biome that the sunlight does not create this biome to change temperature; however, without the sunlight, many of the organisms would not get the needed nutrients they need
-Alpine Tundra a. Temperature is a limiting factor because this biome is so cold that many of the organisms that attempt to live in this biome are unsuccessful b. Competition is a limiting factor in this biome because the resources are not as abundant in this biome, so organisms have to compete with each other for much needed resources c. Sunlight is a limiting factor because the sun can remain below the horizon for up to two months, so the organisms within the biome can lose the ability to access sunlight d. Yearly flooding is a limiting factor because as the sunlight comes back into the biome, there is an abundance of melting snow and ice that cause flooding that affects the organisms within this biome
