Handel’s Messiah Tenebrae with Chamber Choir
I have never been to a Handel’s Messiah concert before, so this was a treat for me, and it also was my first professional choir experience. In the beginning, the tenor began to sing, but either his was not working or the acoustics worked against him, because I could not hear him that well. His diction, however, was very crisp, so despite all odds, he did an excellent job. When the choir came in, “And the Glory of the Lord” I really felt the power of the Tenebrae choir. Even though they were smaller than the Concert Choir and University singers by quite a lot, there projection was powerful.
