From the website Bullying Statistics, suicide is the “third major cause of young adult deaths in the United States,” and bullying is one of the major reasons why kids decide to take their lives. I think that bullying is a major issue in this country and needs to be resolved. But as I was reading Amelia’s blog, she portrays that being homosexual can cause more bullying to be attracted to those individuals. I agree with this idea but we have to remember that bullying does not just affect homosexuals. In one year there are over “4,400 deaths among young adults due to suicide.” Of those 4,400 deaths, kids took their lives for many reasons such as, weight, appearance, and not accepted into social groups. Not just for being homosexual. High school and middle school have hierarchies that put the stereotypical good-looking athletic figures on top of the pyramid that surrounds schools all over the country. Then goes down the line of classifying people into groups that define them in their niche such as the nerds, band geeks, and cheerleaders. If kids and even adults stopped categorizing people into groups and worked as a whole then individuals feel better about
