Heatway a firm that specializes in “Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC)” needed to reform their order management process, this would help them increase market share and revenue. Thus led to this new process of “PTP – Personal to Payment” , implementing a new process will cause a major change to the firm which will lead to many challenges that will hinder the application of the new process; changes in the organizational structure; cost efficiency will rise and the resistance to change. One team called current state-team was responsible for analyzing the current state of the process as well as identifying the time and the cost of doing the business in the current approach. While the other team called current state-team and was led by managers and consultant, they were responsible for creating the vision of the future state. They recognized that the new process would be very expensive, since the total cost was be $150 million which would make PTP as largest project done at the firm.
