Born on July thirtieth, eighteen-sixty-three in Greenfield Township, Michigan. Henry Ford was born to a family of farmers. Growing up, he worked on his father’s farm in Wayne County. When Ford was thirteen years of age, his father, William Ford, gifted him a pocket watch for his birthday. Henry then took the watch and disassembled it. Once he learned how the watches mechanisms worked, he reassembled the watch back into one piece. Henry Ford was always tinkering with mechanical objects his whole life. Unsatisfied with the farm life, Ford set out into the city at the age of sixteen. He took a job as a machinist apprentice in the city of Detroit. (History.com)

Just five years later, The Ford Motor Company introduces their very first vehicle, the Model T. The Model T. was very iconic car, super popular, but it took twelve hours just to complete one in production. Because the model T took some time to be assembled, it was still very expensive and only the rich were able to afford such a vehicle. Henry then said that he wanted to make vehicles for the multitude of people. He was thinking, instead of the employees coming to the vehicles, the vehicles should go to the employees.
