In 1974, Clinton became a member of the presidential impeachment inquiry staff. She took on the role of an Advisor to the Judiciary Committee of the House of Representatives during the Watergate Scandal. After the resignation of Richard Nixon she became a faculty member at the University of Arkansas Law School in Fayetteville, as did many of her former peers from Yale, including her then boyfriend, Bill Clinton. On October 11, 1975, she and Bill got married at their home in Fayetteville. In 1992, she became First Lady. In 1999, Hillary decided to run for the U.S. Senate seat from New York, and in 2007 announced she planned on running for president. Hillary’s view on immigration is she wants to make it easier to gain citizenship and let illegal immigrants stay who have children who are legal. She also wants to lift the 3-10 year bars law which states that an illegal immigrant can’t return for legal citizenship for 3-10 years. By allowing immigrants to purchase health care and allow supervised stay instead of detention, Hillary believes this would help immigrants (Politifacts.com).
Trump has been yet again on the opposite side of the spectrum, he wants to deport the illegal immigrants and eliminate sanctuary cities. He wants to end birthright citizenship for children of illegal immigrants. Trump furthermore wants to use E-verify to verify citizenship of employees in the U.S. and reduce foreign workers by promoting unemployed citizens vs. employing foreign workers. By building a wall spanning the entire U.S.- Mexico border, Trump believes the U.S. would be a safer country
