There is a research has been filled with 300 international students. As the results indicate, 25% of international students are confidently to say that they are excellent in speaking English and able to keep up with the course in the college, while another 50% are struggling with English and feel isolated when other people make a conversation (Syed 2011). The solution for overcoming language barriers is to encourage yourself to speak English as much as possible, it would be easier for you to be friend with someone comes from your country and speak the same language. But if you want to be acceptable and improve your English, you have to leave your comfort zone and speak English. This also shows you are being polite and respectful to your classmates. International students may not aware they offend other people if they do not know the UK 's culture. Therefore, it is necessary to learn how British people behave themselves and what you expected to do. There are some examples, the first one, do not stare a stranger for any reasons, it is unfriendly because of British people are very regard to their privacy. Secondly, when you first meet someone, you only need to shake hands use your right hand, is unacceptable if you greet with a hug or a kiss, this conduct is only for a close friend or family member. Also, the same hobbies or travel experience might be a good topic, do not ask personal questions. Finally, you are always expected to be a polite person. The basic rule is to use the words such as, please, excuse me, thank or sorry. And it is necessary to say sorry if it is not your fault, for example, when someone bumps to you if they are not on
