Napoleon Bonaparte enacted a new legal foundation for France called the “Napoleonic Code”. The Napoleonic code was the first of France’s logical set of laws that codified several laws concerning many unstable topics like Individual rights, colonial rights, families, etc. The code also assured secularization of society, something France had not known prior before. Before the French Revolution, France has been controlled by the feudal order, but now the new code removed the feudal order. The code also sought to assure individual freedom.

Napoleon’s popularity increased when all these reforms were stable, assembling citizens to give him an incumbency in power than all the other emperor’s since the French Revolution. In addition, Napoleon was a great leader because he created a purposeful code that inflicted well upon society.
Body 2: Napoleon also improved ordinary lives by fulfilling simple reforms in the society that eventually became major contributions to France’s new upholding.
