Even if there was freedom and equal rights for everyone where she lived, she knew racism and segregation was happening other places. To spread awareness she created programs like “Pathway to Freedom” to talk about the civil rights movement and the national leaders(www.rosaparks.org). This just maximizes and shows her determination of getting equal rights for everyone. She wanted kids to be aware that even though they are kids, they still have a voice. She also won many of medals for her act. One of them was the very first Achievements award(www.rosaparks.org)Rosa Parks was obviously inspiring to so many people and people were in awe of her act and how far she has come.
Not everyone thinks Rosa Parks deserve the hero status. People might say what she did was too simple, all she did was not move from her spot. Although, this just shows her bravery, selflessness and how she is outgoing. This one “simple” act was a huge push for many important events.
In my eyes, Rosa Parks did not have to stay seated like she did. She could’ve got up like any other African American but she realized anyone she be treated the same despite their differences. She risked everything not just for herself but for other people. That is why she deserves the role as a
