It was 14 by 8 inches of pure parent protection. The tiny little thing checked everything that anyone wanted to watch or listen to. No ungodly language, nudity, or explicit lyrics. The device easily became my mothers best friend and partner in crime. There was only one way to stop the total lockdown. You could turn off the lock it you knew the password, but as a kid you were forbidden to know it. 6 numbers, a code, that no one could crack, not even my father.

They both agree to claim that rap music isn't the only type of music or form of entertainment that negatively affects teenagers. Quoted from the Federal Trade Commission, “ Children in the United States spend on average more than 38 hours a week exposed to entertainment media, which includes television, music videos, video games, and movies”. The media is a big part in the day to day lives of an average person. The media is always at our fingertips whether it be through a Tv and a controller or a cellular device. Since media is constantly around us, when something shocking happens, they report it and everyone either hears about it or sees it. There is no escaping it unless you completely purposely trying to block it from reaching you. Thanks to the media “Americans purchased over $1.5 billion worth of rap and hip-hop music. Rap and Hip-Hop music are not the only genre of music that makes a high paying salary by speaking ill of people, cultures, communities, and using explicit language. As spoken of above all types of music have there negative affect on our children, teens, and even adults.
