For this assignment, I am working for a sales company who does business primarily through phone lines. I am one of the higher-ups in charge of maintaining the phone system and I believe that it is time to update the company’s phone system. My audience for this report includes my immediate boss, Jake Boss, who is the head of the phone system. My audience also includes the President of the company, John Doe, and the financial advisor, Jim Goodwithmoney. I expect that Jake will also want to upgrade the phone system, seeing as he is in charge of the company phone systems and also realizes it is outdated. He doesn’t know much about the phone system, so he will need more persuasion to switch systems. His main concerns will probably be how it will help or improve the company, what employees will need to learn to use the new system, and how much money it will cost. The financial advisor will be most concerned with the cost. He willwant to know how the company can save money in the long run from this change, as well as a list of prices for all the possible new systems. I don’t think it will be tough to balance them because they all semi-connected with each other. I think the hardest part will just be fitting it in a short report.
