The United States is considered a nation of immigrants. Most of the immigrants are of ancient origins from Europe and have built American society as they are today, they still have the majority since then. However, the number of nations in the United States is very numerous and each city has a different proportion. America is vast and populated. With over 9 million square kilometers and a population of approximately 293 million people, the United States is considered the third most populated country in the world, but every average family owns a large amount of land. In America, there are many different types of climate, soil, lifestyle and culture. Despite the cultural diversity in the United States, the United States still has a unique cultural identity that you may not experience when you come to the United States. That can not be told through movies, images that you already know. It makes a person an American.
The thing that makes me a person an American is on their belief. Americans believe that all people are equal and have equal rights in life. Everyone is treated equally and with the same level of respect. This is one of the most fundamental principles of American philosophy. Most Americans are confident and do not hesitate to speak their minds. Americans value honesty and straightforwardness. They also do not feel embarrassed or angry when others criticize their opinions with a positive, respectful and friendly attitude. They also like to debate or reject honestly rather than polite. Do not hurry to conclude that Americans are rude in communicating because that may be a cultural difference among nations.
