John Owen-Jones, a popular Musical singer, not only influences my singing style, but imperceptibly encourages me to think deeper towards Musicals as well, which leads me to demand some answers from him. Before viewing his records, I regarded Musicals as something noble, and I never thought I would go and watch a Musical show. However, by chance, I watched John Owen-Jones’s episode “Bring Him Home”. I was attracted by …show more content…
I also thank him for setting up my confidence. First, his discovery of Binomial Theorem and creation of Calculus benefited me a lot. When dealing with some hard math problems during my middle school years, understanding Binomial Theorem saved me a lot of time and work to obtain the correct answer. Furthermore, learning Calculus enabled me to solve higher level of physics problems and helped me generate interests toward electromagnetic physics. Second, in his time period, the discovery of “the Law of Universal Gravitation” would be viewed as a contradictory and wrong statement instead of a correct fascinating new sight. He himself claimed that his discovery is the essential law of the universe. I admire his confidence in giving such claim so much that I long ask myself to be as confident as him. For example, whenever I have an answer for a problem, I would try it out directly instead of waiting for correct answer. However, his announcement was proved to be incorrect somehow so I have been thinking about how he would react if he was told that his law was incorrect? According to his experience with Leibnitz, he would reject and ask a lot of his friends to argue for him, because unlike another great scientist Albert Einstein, Newton seems to carry too much pride. However, is it really all because of his pride? This is the question that I demand his answer. Another puzzle I have is that Newton …show more content…
Einstein is famous for his idea of Relativities – a contradictory idea towards Newton’s. In my opinion, if he had not denied Newton’s claims, as so many physicists of that era, he would be sunk into the hole of finding “ether”. Consequently, the progress of proving Relativity would not go as smooth as the history. The spirit of denying what seems to be incorrect with great authoritativeness had then become one of my creeds. Now whenever I find my tutors give statements or examples that seem to be wrong to me, I would point them out immediately. Another interesting affair is Einstein’s equation of success: Success = Correct Ways of Working + Hardworking + Less Words and More Actions. This equation cured my procrastination: now, when dealing with difficult homework, I would first make a time line, and then focus on the work until it is finished. There are some questions that I wanted to ask him. First, why did he denied God’s existence instead of doing what Newton did – believe in God? I think he would probably answer it in this way: “God is just a creation and representative of human’s weakness. There were so many physicist following past believes blindly, so only denying God would help me jump out from it, and find the truth.” Second, I would like to hear from him about his opinion towards the question,
