They will often compete for the food. If one of the predators died out, the population of the other predator would grow because they would be able to obtain more food easily without any competition. The prey’s population would also grow because of losing a natural predator. Meaning that the birth to death ratio would change. There would be more births per deaths. Sometimes, organisms might rely on other organisms for protection. If biodiversity didn't exist, then everything would eventually die out in a short time.

Some animals like peacocks evolve to look more and more stunning, to attract a mate. Some animals like ducks have evolved to prevent rape from male ducks. But over time, the male ducks have also adapted with their genitalia, it has adapted so that it can fit inside the females
